If your template says it is locked it is because: 
the document is protected or the Word program is not activated.  
To check if the document is activated (look under Help/Active Product) 


Instructions for Microsoft Word

-Open document

-Click the WordArt icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen

 (looks like a 3-D letter A)

-Choose your style of wordart and click OK

-Type your text and set your font size, click OK

-Right click on the text that you just inserted and click Format WordArt

-Click on the LAYOUT tab and choose In Front of Text, click OK

-Now you can move the text to where you want it or rotate it so part of your text appears upside down as seen in the picture below

*Note Ð to change the size of the text double click on the wordart

*-to change the font color right click and select Formart Wordart
